This Wonderful, Krazy, Kit Cat Clock Works!
The Kit Cat Clock has been an American classic for decades. It’s funny, cute and maybe too tacky for some folks but a lot of people (like me) love it. I read a lot of other customers’ reviews before buying this and I recommend that you read some of the high rated reviews if you are planning to buy it so you know the “tricks” to getting it to work. It is somewhat fragile and it takes care to open it without damaging it, removing the foam insert, installing the batteries and putting the back part on again. You need to get the top of the back (up by the ears) in first and gently snap the panel in. It is also a good idea to use a screw rather than a nail to mount it since the screw should be more stable and you can adjust the small distance between the clock back and the wall as necessary to keep the tail assembly moving. You will also need to adjust the vertical angle a bit to keep the tail motion going. But I was very pleasantly surprised to see that, with careful preparation and installation, the krazy thing really works. The wagging tail assembly isn’t even powered by a motor but just uses magnetic repulsion to keep the tail pendulum moving but it has continued to work for months now without any adjustment. It also keeps good time – just remember to only move the minute hand to set the time or you will probably break it. It really looks like a smaller version of the old AC electric Kit Cat Clock that I remember my aunt and uncle had in their house decades ago and the box says it’s made in the USA. Good stuff!

Perfect for someone who loves original flex the cat!
We bought this for my mom as a christmas gift who had one of these growing up! She absolutely loved it works great and looks perfect just like the one she had growing up so much so going to buy her another one for christmas this year. Perfect easy to read ,fits perfectly on the wall and it’s numbers and face is easy to read nice and bright!

Great Clock; small issue with animation but easy fix
Love this clock. It’s a cute addition to my kitchen. Had some issues getting the animation to work and reached out the manufacturer, who were extremely helpful in troubleshooting. If you have the same problem try loosening the tiny philips head screw on the pendulum by a half turn. It’s tightened for shipping and can prevent the tail from moving. Once fixed, it began working beautifully and I’ve gotten several compliments from guests.

It’s junk. Don’t buy it.
Actually, I wouldn’t even give it a 1. I don’t even know why Amazon would allow such junk to be allowed to be sold on their website. We ordered this for Christmas. Opening it and following the directions completely resulted in the thing not working at all. Tried 3 new sets of batteries to no avail…it didn’t work. For 75 dollars this is complete junk. It’s cheaply made plastic and I really hope people will check the reviews because the bad reviews are very correct and reflect the poor quality of this item. We’re not sending it back because it’s trash and it’s eating up time to fix it. The only reason we’re taking valuable time to review is that we hope we can save someone a lot of hassle and some money. Don’t waste your money.

Cute, works well but over priced
This goofy thing is way cute. Works well and packaged well. Yes, it’s rather small but size is stated in the listing so no surprises there. It fits my kitchen well. The only reason for the 4 stars not 5 is because its plastic and way over priced. Be careful popping the back off and on for batteries.

Definitely worth the price.
Not overly noisy but definitely has that TikTok sound no brightness as there is no LED fits well in our house and on the wall looks very antique and epic. The color is awesome. I love the chrome touch and tells time great.

Cheaply made
Clock is a lot smaller and made out of cheap plastic. The plastic part that enables the eyes to move broke the first day. It still looks cute on the wall, and the tail moves back and forth, but not worth the $$ I paid for it.
