Almost a decade ago, Gorilla Grip launched its first product, our best-selling Rug Pad, that remains a favorite among our loyal customers for its strong grip. Since then, we’ve expanded our product line into many other categories including kitchen, bath, pet, outdoor, and travel.

Had the product for a year now and no major issues. It stops the rug from sliding when you walk on it.Pros:Got it because my dog likes to gallop and slide across a hallway rug while chasing things. The product does a good job keeping things in place, but will occasionally bunch up underneath in a way that I notice while walking over. The worst is when the dog is kicking the rug in it’s sleep.I do have to readjust the rug every so often, probably once a month. It will peak out after vigorous running across it, but it’s a minor thing that only takes a minute.Dog hair doesn’t seem to affect it. I have a little build up under the grip pad, but there’s still no slipping.Cons:I have noticed that it slips easily when pushed from the side. My conclusion is that this product is most effective when it is being squished. I’ve seen a few people in the comments who used with with a throw rug on a couch and this doesn’t seem to be the product for that. It’s not inherently sticky, so it will slide more easily on smooth surfaces if it’s not being squished. That being said, I used to be able to run and jump on the rug and it would slide across the floor. Now it barely moves.It does seem to be degrading slowly though. It’s probably from the dog kicking it, but the little foam balls on top are slowly coming off. It’s only a few so far, and performance hasn’t been affected.This product would probably be most effective if it was attached to the rug with a sticky backing, preventing the two from moving independently.

Works great and all without taping to my hard wood floor
This “couch” was sliding all over but once I put this down underneath it stays in place. Very quick and easy to lay out. Perfect thickness and not rape marks on my wood floor I highly recommend

Bigger than size listed.
It does its job. But I will say, it was definitely bigger than 9×12! And clearly cut by a human. The edges are crooked. Whoever cut it obviously isn’t good at cutting wrapping paper either and always cuts their stuff uneven. It was easily fixed by cutting it my self to not show under the rug.

Non slip rug pad for high traffic area
Very pleased with this product, purchased to put under a rug in our main living area and fit perfectly, no trimming. The rug has not slipped once in the high traffic area plus we have a dog who loves playing on the rug. Will be purchasing another one for another rug we need to secure down. Excellent product, good quality for the price.

I picked up the Gorilla Grip rug pad after nearly eating it one too many times on my slick hardwood floors. This little 2×3 ft pad has been a game-changer. It’s surprisingly thick, and the grip is no joke and once my rug was on it, that thing did not move an inch, even when my dog came barreling across the room like a linebacker.What I love most is that it feels like it was actually designed with real homes in mind. Not just “made somewhere overseas, hope it works but US-designed with attention to detail. The cushioning underfoot makes the rug feel way more expensive than it is, and it gives a bit of protection to my hardwood floors too, which was a must for me.If you’re tired of rugs sliding around, bunching up, or posing as home décor booby traps, this pad does exactly what it promises: keeps rugs safe and in place. It’s slip-resistant, skid-resistant, and honestly worth every penny

This is my 3rd attempt to find something to stop my rug moving on the hard floor. Tried tape and other rug grips. This is perfect, adds extra cushion, doesn’t ride up under the rug and most certainly stops the rug moving.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt I had to. I previously bought a similar product and thought the poor quality was just that brand—so I tried this one instead. Unfortunately, it’s just as bad. It may sound like a comfy and durable option, but in reality, it feels cheap and tacky. They really need to stop making this and consider an adhesive-based alternative instead.
