Durable and smart looking.
These are well sewn and sturdy. We have spilled a variety of things on them from red wine to boiling butter, and they clean up looking new again. I have a round table, so I prefer round placemats as they take up less table real estate. Glasses, however, do not fit on a round mat with the napkin and silverware, so the glass is left to sweat on the table. The coasters that come with this set are genius! They take up very little space and give the glass its own home. They also make the table looked very coordinated. Best of all, I really believe this set will out live me. These days, it’s rare to find something I love that will last.

So, this is a set of 8. BUT NOT 8 placemats. I would have left a 3 star review, but I ordered another set. Not sure about the coasters…

Thick and durable
These are an attractive and durable place setting. I can see this at any kitchen table standing up to the punishment of those rambunctious 3-5 year old set that are intent on destruction! Especially when armed with a fork and knife. Outside of that they look great and are easy to clean since they are made of a fairly thick rubber like material. If you are looking for something that looks like it can take some abuse, looks nice and is easy to clean you can’t go wrong with this, especially at this price point.

Can’t wait to use these
I thought these mats were very unique and that’s why I ordered them. They are actually being used for a special occasion and I’m glad I decided on them because I think that they were going to look very nice with the set up and the table. I can’t wait to use these. For them to be faux they are very nice. They are not flimsy in any shape, form or fashion.

Curls up
They do look and feel good, initially, but after 3 months they are all curling up on the edges. If they were reversible, no problem. But they aren’t, so I am tossing them out.
