Old Design, Good Quality
I must like this clock since I purchased it to replace an identical one that was falling apart after many years of use. It isn’t quite identical in that the replacement is white where the old one was black. I feel the white gives it a more contemporary look. It is indeed quiet but loud enough when the alarm goes off to wake this heavy sleeper. It is easy to use — both in terms of lighting up in the dark and setting it to snooze. Seiko, of course, is a well known and respected brand so I felt confident that I was buying quality.

Easy, Elegant, Silent
Solid feel to the weight, extremely well engineered fittings, buttons, knobs and a truly silent second hand. Soft glow face is bright enough to locate this small clock easily at bedside at night, then press the small button on the front to gently light up in order to read the time. The small size, and face design- color, font, hands- make for an elegant appearance. The battery is expected to last for a year. This is simple to power with battery, and to set the time and the alarm. Analog simplicity beats all the buttons and settings and confusion with every adjustment on my previous do-it-all with temp, multiple alarms, music etc. I am pleased to simplify, to let go of the digital chore and relax at bedtime.

Better than other alarm clocks
This is so much better than the cheap plastic alarm clocks! I suppose it is made of plastic but it looks much nicer. I have the Pearl White version which is nicer than the product photos and would coordinate with any color scheme. It’s a pearly off white with gold accents. The alarm sound is perfect, just loud enough to awaken but not startle. The button to light up the face is useful when you want to check the time without turning on room lights. There’s no annoying ticking, virtually no noise at all unless you hold it directly up to your ear. It may cost a little more than some of the other alarm clocks but it’s definitely worth it.
