I bought this Tinload 5.5″ Large Analog Alarm Clock for a friend who is very old-fashioned and likes tried and true analog stuff. He loves this clock because it is larger than the more available 4″ analog battery clocks. He loves the larger, easy to read numbers and the style of the oval case with straight, flat base. It’s a winner!

I bought two of these very attractive clocks. They are made by Tinload and are the perfect size of 5.5″, with a very clear white face, and very bold black analog numbers, and easy to see the hour & minute hands from across the room. It is very easy to set the time and the alarm if needed. They take only one AA battery, and not a peep can you hear from this clock! I would love if the face would light up but, I have no complaints about this clock. It is made of plastic and is lightweight but does not look cheaply made. It has a lot of value for the money. It works beautifully !!

Easy-to-read numbers and hands
This is a basic analog plastic clock that is silent, keeps time accurately, and is easy to read. Numbers are big, with a nice readable font. What I like most is that the second hand and alarm hand are thin and light color, so they don’t interfere with the simple task of telling time. You would think this is obvious, but so many other alarm clocks have distracting size/color of the second and alarm hands. With a size of 5.5 inches, it may not be ideal as a travel clock. I use it on my desk, so haven’t tested the alarm. On the back of the clock are two knobs to set the time and alarm; it’s important to turn them in the proper direction to prolong life of clock, but the directional arrows are so faint you can barely see them (white on white). I colored them with a fine permanent marker.

Stopped working at 3AM and 3 PM
I liked the clock but it had to be returned. It stopped at 3PM and 3 AM. I was tempted to replace it but bought another instead. Too bad…..I liked the look.

A small clock that delivers everything it claims.
I’ve have it several days and works well for what I need. I bought it strictly to wake me in the morning. The clock has a large easy to read face and does, indeed, work silently. The quartz movement ensures that it keeps accurate time. My one concern was whether or not the alarm would be loud enough to be heard over my sound machine that emits the sounds of rain and thunder. It is plenty loud and if you don’t hit the snooze button it gets loud enough to be downright annoying. Just what I needed! There is a slide button on the right side of the clock. Slide it down to the OFF position and slide it up to turn it ON. Highly recommended.

Just the size I needed
This is a very basic clock with big enough numbers that I can see it from anywhere in the room. It does not have an automatic light feature, which I did not need.

The clock is just what I wanted and more, large easy to read face with no annoying tick, even has a light up button for when you want to know the time in the dark. Arrived the following day after order was placed. Perfect.

Clock is really good however alarm keeps going off even when I have switched it off. It’s driving me mad. Such a shame as it’s a nice basic clock.
