This light worked out better than I really expected. It was easy to put together and is stable. The stand height can be adjusted to suit your seating position which is one of the reasons I purchased this light. I purchased the black finish and it looks nice with my fireplace equipment. The remote is a nice touch although I really didn’t care one way or the other about that feature. Overall, I am pleased – just hope it’ll hold up!

I am in the process of renovating my family room, and I was looking for a tall multi-use lighting fixture that would provide bright light for reading and other close-up tasks, while at the same time having the ability to lower the temperature and the brightness when watching TV. I have found it in this adjustable Pharmacy Floor Lamp.The first thing you will notice about this lamp is that it is very heavy – the base is solid and this lamp is not going anywhere – it will stay put! I also really like that it is possible to move the arm that holds the bulb almost in a complete circle – the listing says 350 degrees, so it can be over your shoulder while reading and tucked away behind you when watching TV. Also, the shade over the bulb is also adjustable up and down, to allow you to aim the light precisely where you want it.It is very easy to put together. Note that if, after you have screwed all three rods together, if you have a bunch of electrical cable sticking out of the top, gently pull the cord out from under the base of the lamp and the cord will disappear and the rest of the lamp will fit together as intended.It comes with a smart lightbulb, and after verifying that the lamp worked, I easily connected it to my 2.4Ghz wi-fi, following the instructions. When it tells you to press the button on the remote control (but doesn’t tell you which button), it is referring to key #11, Feeding Mode, with the icon of a baby bottle on it.This lamp, for only $99 CDN (as of mid-October, 2025), would be a real steal without all the technology I’m about to detail. With all the adjustments you can make with the included remote control (requires two AA batteries; not included), this lamp is feature rich and an incredibly well-priced and impressive-looking lamp. I have been out to lamp and furniture stores looking for both for my family room renovation, and I can tell you that lamps like this in both of those kinds of stores sell for well over $500.It has three different temperatures of light: bright cool white, daylight, and a hue with a more yellow-ish tinge to it. Each of these three hues can be brightened or dimmed via the remote control, and there is quite a range in between the maximum of each. You brighten, dim, and change hues all with the keys in the circle in the middle of the remote control.The remote control also has some shortcut buttons. For example, key #12 in the manual looks like a book, and this is the setting for the reading mode. Key #4 is the setting for the working mode.Key #10 is a nightlight key, and when you combine this with key #1 one that has “1H” on it, you can set the nightlight (or any of the buttons for specific reading modes) to stay on for how ever many hours you wish. You would simply press the 1H button once for every hour you want that type of light to stay on.I tested this by selecting the moon (nightlight key), and pressing the 1H key twice. The nightlight stayed on for 2 hours and then turned off.The remote control instructions also say that you can control up to eight separate light bulbs with a single remote, but I don’t know (and it doesn’t say) if they all have to be from the same manufacturer or not.This is a classic design that will never go out of style, loaded with features, and priced well below market value. I highly recommend this product.

I got this GyroVu adjustable floor lamp with swing arm to put next to my love seat, that’s right next to my balcony door. My old floor lamp had a large lamp shade, that now partially blocked my door, ever since the building updated the doors this summer. It was a pain trying to squeeze past my old lamp, without knocking it over, when trying to go out on my balcony. Once I saw how slender this lamp was and how small of a square base it had, I knew this would work perfectly in my now smaller space by the door. Assembly was so simple: just thread a few poles together, attach the base, then attach the lamp head. Once all put together, just screw in the LED bulb and plug it in to an AC outlet. This lamp has a master switch located next to the bulb’s housing, that rotates on and off. However, since this lamp comes with a remote control, I find that to be a better way of powering the lamp. The LED bulb is what is actually controlled by the remote, as it’s a smart bulb. The lamp’s master switch controls the electric power going to the bulb, so if it’s left off, the remote control won’t work. For that reason, I just stick to using the remote, so I can always control the light, without having to turn on the master switch first. The remote offers several ways of controlling the LED bulb, from adjusting the brightness to selecting different colour temperatures. It also has a few preset buttons, for quickly switching the lamp to reading mode, nursing mode or nightlight. There’s even a timer button, so you can program the light to turn off automatically after one hour. The lamp’s base is weighted, keeping the lamp upright and sturdy. The top post has a threaded screw on the side, so you can adjust the final height of this lamp and change it when needed. There are two hinge points on the rods, allowing you to adjust the positioning of this lamp, so it can swivel over a couch or table, making it easier to read or see. As well, the metal lampshade can rotate, so you can aim the light’s beam in the direction you prefer. This light has a beautiful gold finish that is modern, yet also classic looking. It’s slender frame lets it blend into the room without overpowering it. The utility of this lamp is excellent and can be used for many different purposes. This is a much nicer floor lamp compared to the older standard lamps, that only had one function. It can also be used in multiple rooms, wherever a floor lamp is needed.

I love this lamp. It is a perfect reading lamp, and it goes perfectly with my favourite reading chair. I am giving this lamp a five star rating because I was specifically looking for an excellent reading lamp, and that is what this is. I will be honest, if you are looking for a floor lamp that adds a lot of radiant light to a room (light up a room brightly), then this may not be the lamp for you. This lamp excels at giving a lot of direct light straight below it — which is why it is amazing for reading.The lamp itself is beautiful — a gold/brass colour. It looks stunning in a room, and is in its element in a den or a home office as well. It does have a remote that you can use to turn the light on/off, and to set the brightness of the bulb, but I find that just turning the knob is so much easier than trying to find a remote each time you want the lamp on or off, or even to adjust the brightness — it is just so easy to do manually.I am really happy with this lamp and it is the perfect addition to my reading corner.

The lamp is great. 90% of what there is to say about it is a matter of taste. It looks just like it does in the ad, so no surprises.I like the arm style of it, that you can position and/or extend it to cover the area you want covered. Sure beats a corner lamp.The base is HEAVY, you never know what you’re getting when you order a lamp, if it’ll be flimsy and tippy. Nope, this one is HEAVY on the base. You’d really have to put effort in to knock it over.It was extremely easy to assemble. I thought I’d be threading a power cord through it and wiring it up, nope, it’s all done for you. It’s shipped in 4 pieces, but it’s already pre-connected. You just screw it together and then tug the excess cord down a bit each time.The light it shines is fine, no complaints, standard lighting you see everywhere.One weird thing is the remote. It has a magnet on the back, and the photos show it sticking to the shaft of the lamp. It just barely sticks, and any vibration makes it slide down or drop off. Could’ve had stronger magnets there.Otherwise it’s great.
